Our Story

Utopia Bagels was founded in 1981 as a neighborhood establishment in Whitestone Queens. During our humble beginnings the store was a local favorite serving hot bagels, pastries, and coffee to a loyal customer base.

Using our generational method of individually hand-rolling, kettle boiling, and baking our bagels in a 1947 carousel oven, we have managed to give them a distinctive taste that our customers have enjoyed for decades. Over the past years, Utopia Bagels has grown to become a New York City staple, keeping the same recipes and core values that we were founded with.
